Eligibility for BEL Probationary Engineer 2026
🎓 Qualification
B.E., B.Tech. or a four-year B.Sc. Engineering degree from an AICTE-approved institution. Electronics: Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Telecommunication, Communication or Telecommunication. Mechanical: Mechanical Engineering. AMIE, AMIETE or GIETE in the prescribed disciplines may also be eligible, subject to the notification conditions. First class is required for General, OBC (NCL) and EWS; SC, ST and PwBD candidates may apply with pass class.
🎂 Age Limit
Upper age limit for Unreserved and EWS candidates is 25 years as of October 1, 2026. Relaxation: 3 years for OBC (NCL), 5 years for SC and ST, 10 years for PwBD, and as per rules for other eligible categories — check the official notification for the category-wise limits.
Pay scale: Rs. 40,000–3%–Rs. 1,40,000 (E-II Grade), with an approximate annual CTC of Rs. 13 lakh.

Selection Process
1. Online Application
Submit the form on bel-india.in before November 18, 2026, 11:59 PM.
2. Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Tentatively scheduled for December 22, 2026. The test has 125 questions in 120 minutes, with one-fourth mark deducted for each wrong answer. Final merit is based on CBT (85 marks) and interview (15 marks).
3. Interview and Further Stages
Shortlisted candidates are called for interview, followed by document verification and other stages as per the official notification.
