Selection Process and Exam Pattern
1. Computer Based Examination
All posts are first tested through a Computer Based Examination. For Junior Personal Assistant, the examination is one paper of 100 questions carrying 100 marks in 60 minutes, covering General English, Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence and Logical Ability, and General Knowledge and Current Affairs, with 25 questions in each subject. For other posts, the examination has Part A of 100 questions carrying 100 marks in 60 minutes on the same four subjects, and Part B, a curriculum-based test of 100 questions carrying 100 marks in 60 minutes, for a total of 200 questions, 200 marks and 120 minutes.
2. Interview / Skill Test (As Per Post)
Candidates shortlisted in the Computer Based Examination are called for an interview or a skill test, as applicable to the post. Junior Personal Assistant candidates take a shorthand skill test: dictation of 10 minutes at 80 words per minute, followed by transcription of 50 minutes in English or 65 minutes in Hindi on computer.
3. Document Verification
Candidates qualifying in the earlier stages are called for document verification. Original documents, including qualification certificates, age proof, caste or EWS certificates and experience certificates where needed, are checked at this stage.
4. Final Selection
Final selection is based on performance in the Computer Based Examination and the interview or skill test, as applicable, and successful document verification, against the vacancies and as per the category-wise reservation rules.
